On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024),  On the morning of May 2, the provincial working delegation led by Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited,presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers, young volunteers, and frontline workers directly participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign currently living in Huu Lung district.

During the program, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the delegation visited the families: Mr. Hoang Xuan Cuu, born in 1930, Ben Luong village, Minh Son commune; Mr. Nguyen Trong Tich, born in 1932, Ca Ngoai village, Minh Son commune; Mrs. Ly Thi Be, born in 1931, in Ba Nang village, Cai Kinh commune.

Mr. Hoang Xuan Cuu and Mr. Nguyen Trong Tich were soldiers participating in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign; Ms. Ly Thi Be is a young volunteer and frontline citizen participating in the campaign.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that the Party Committee and local authorities continue to pay attention, care, and perform well the work of "repaying gratitude" to policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the area.

Accordingly, the delegation visited and gave gifts to Mr. Trinh Dinh Truc (born in 1931), Na Phuc village, Dai Dong commune, a veteran who joined the army in 1953, directly participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign; Ms. Nong Thi Van (born in 1931), Po Chang village and Ms. Nong Thi Xuan (born in 1931), Na Pan village (Quoc Khanh commune), were all young volunteers, providing medical supplies and loading ammunition in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
