Provincial leaders visit and present gifts to soldiers, young volunteers, and frontline supporters who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the morning of April 25, the provincial delegation led by Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and presented gifts to soldiers participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign currently living in Cao Lau and Xuat Le communes, Cao Loc district.

During the agenda, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and members of the working delegation visited and presented gifts to Mr. Duong Thai Son (99 years old) in Thach Khuyen village and Mr. Dinh Van Vanh (97 years old) in Ban Ranh village , Xuat Le commune; Mr. Hoang Chan Phung (99 years old) in Na Va village, Cao Lau commune.

At their houses, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the great contributions and sacrifices of the soldiers participating in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, joining the whole country to achieve a glorious victory that “resounded across the five continents and shook the globe”. He wished the veterans good health and continued to educate their children and grandchildren to promote family traditions and be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren.

Additionally, he requested the Party Committee, local authorities and professional agencies to continue paying attention to repaying gratitude to preferentional families, people with meritorious services in general and families of Dien Bien veterans in particular, contributing to the good implementation of the Party and State's policies on social security in the province.

Within the agenda, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers, young volunteers and frontline civilians, including Mr. Ngo Gia Hoi (born in 1927), An Thinh area, Huu Lung town, a veteran enlisted in 1950; Mr. Tran Van Phuc (born 1932), Cau Muoi area, Huu Lung town, veteran who joined the army in 1950; Ms. Hoang Thi Phe (born in 1927), Quyet Tien village, Hoa Son commune, former youth volunteer and frontline citizen.

At the destinations, on behalf of the delegation, the head of the delegation greeted and expressed his deep gratitude to Dien Bien Phu soldiers, former youth volunteers, and frontline workers who contributed to a glorious victory that “resounded across the five continents and shook the globe”. He hoped that families would continue to encourage their children and grandchildren to promote the traditions of their family and homeland by studying and working to continue building and protecting their homeland, developing increasingly prosperous, beautiful and civilized country.
