Provincial leaders see off the delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee for a Friendship Exchange Program with the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference
On the morning of April 21, at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate, a delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha – Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee – completed exit procedures to attend a friendship exchange program.
This program marks the third friendship exchange between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of seven Vietnamese provinces and the CPPCC of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yunnan Province (China), which share borders with Vietnam. The event is held in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
Seeing the delegation off at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate were Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.

At the Huu Nghi International Border Gate, the Vietnamese delegation was welcomed by Mr. Zhang Maoyu, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Mr. Wang Nai Xue, Vice Chairman of the Guangxi CPPCC.

In November 2023, in Quang Ninh Province (Vietnam), the second friendship exchange program between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the National Committee of the CPPCC, as well as between the Fatherland Front Committees of seven Vietnamese provinces and the CPPCCs of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yunnan Province (China), was successfully held.

Building on that success, this third friendship exchange program is a meaningful activity commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1950–2025) between Vietnam and China, and it is part of the "Year of People-to-People Exchanges" between the two countries. Notably, the program takes place shortly after the state visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China, Xi Jinping. Through this series of activities, both sides aim to strengthen cooperation in various fields and promote the implementation of high-level common understandings between the two nations.
The Vietnamese delegation participated in this friendship exchange program consists of 45 delegates, including 4 representatives from Lang Son Province. According to the schedule, during the program in China (from April 21 to 25), several key activities will take place. These include experience-sharing sessions on the work of the Fatherland Front and the CPPCC, covering topics such as: supervision and social criticism work; participation in Party and government building; promoting the people’s right to mastery; patriotic campaigns and emulation movements; and strengthening the close ties between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the CPPCCs of border-sharing provinces. The program will also include a review and evaluation of cooperation results between the Fatherland Front and the CPPCCs of the two countries’ border provinces since the second friendship exchange held in Vietnam in November 2023.

Through this friendship exchange, both sides aim to strengthen cooperation in various areas and push forward the implementation of high-level common understandings, contributing to the continuous development of Vietnam–China relations. The program also serves as a valuable opportunity for both organizations to share experiences and lessons learned in the work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
