Hanoi will hold two fireworks displays on April 22 and 27 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025), according to the Office of the municipal People's Committee.

The initiative aims to foster excitement, national pride, and solidarity among city residents.

The first fireworks display will take place as part of the Hen uoc Bac Nam (North–South Promise) art programme at the F1 racing track area in Phu Do ward, Nam Tu Liem district. It will feature a combination of high- and low-altitude fireworks. The show is scheduled to begin at 9:45pm on April 22 and will last for 15 minutes.

Another show will take place within the framework of the Vang mai khuc khai hoan (Resounding the song of triumph) live programme connected with locations, featuring a similar mix of high- and low- altitude fireworks at the multipurpose stage in Thong Nhat Park, Le Dai Hanh ward, Hai Ba Trung district. It is also set to run for 15 minutes, from 9:45pm to 10pm on April 27.

The Hanoi Capital Command was assigned to coordinate with relevant agencies to successfully carry out these shows. Meanwhile, the municipal public security department was tasked with devising plans to ensure social order and traffic safety in the fireworks display areas and facilitating the transportation of fireworks and technical equipment to the launching sites./.
