End of the "Million Steps of Kindness" Campaign: Lang Son ranked 5th nationwide

The End of the "Million Steps of Kindness" Campaign by the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society in coordination with the Vietnam Youth Union together with companion units, organized a launch on the vRace application platform to mobilize individuals to walk and jog for 56 days and nights (from February 25 to April 21, 2024), The Red Cross Society of Lang Son province ranked 5th nationwide.

The campaign was organized with the goal of attracting 70,000 participants to walk, jog, and record 700,000 km via the vRace application, corresponding to the campaign funding of 7 billion VND to build 7 boarding kitchens for highland students; Supporting sustainable livelihoods for 70 poor households, organizing "Humanitarian Market", providing necessities for 700 families in difficult circumstances in remote areas across the country. At the end of the campaign, the whole country had a total of 246 teams and nearly 96,000 participants, covering nearly 2.5 million km of running distance.

Participating in the campaign, the Red Cross Society of Lang Son province launched it from March 23, with the goal of mobilizing 1,000 people to participate and receiving 10,000 km of running and walking distance or more. At the end of the campaign, Lang Son had over 3,000 participants, receiving a total of over 54,000km (ranked 5th nationwide). From the number of kilometers received, over 270 million VND has been donated to the campaign. Among the teams participated in the campaign in the province, the Red Cross Team of Trang Dinh district ran and walked with the highest achievement in the whole province with over 13,000km.
