Closing ceremony of the 2024 national youth weightlifting tournament

On the afternoon of April 21, the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation to organize the closing ceremony of the 2024 National Youth Weightlifting Tournament.

With the participation of 31 delegations and over 230 athletes, the 2024 national youth weightlifting tournament is considered by the Organizing Committee to be the tournament with the most athletes participating compared to similar tournaments held in recent years. After 5 days of competition, the athletes competed in 22 events in weight categories and youth groups with snatch and thrust categories.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 66 sets of medals (gold, silver, bronze) to the best athletes; Awarding prizes and souvenir flags to the teams with the best achievements in the female team and male team events at the ages of 13 - 14 and 15 - 16; All-team prize for the best teams at the tournament.

Among them, the highest ranking in the female team event for ages 13 - 14 is the Bac Lieu team; The Hanoi delegation ranked highest in the remaining 3 contents including female team ages 15 - 16, male team ages 13 - 14 and age 15 - 16. With this achievement, the Hanoi delegation achieved the best results. whole group.

At this year's tournament, the Lang Son athlete delegation ranked 9th with 5 medals (3 gold medals, 2 silver medals).
